Description
Our EPDM rubber gym flooring tiles are designed for commercial gyms, fitness centers, strength-training areas, home gyms, sports facilities, and professional flooring projects.
The tiles combine a durable EPDM wear layer with a high-density recycled SBR rubber base. This structure provides stable support, impact absorption, vibration reduction, and long-term durability under frequent training and equipment use.
Available in multiple sizes, thicknesses, surface colors, granule structures, and bottom designs, the flooring can be customized for distributors, importers, gym equipment suppliers, flooring contractors, and project buyers.
Available Sizes and Thicknesses
Standard Sizes
- 500 × 500 mm
- 1000 × 1000 mm
Standard Thicknesses
- 15 mm
- 20 mm
- 25 mm
- 30 mm
Other sizes and thicknesses can be discussed according to project requirements and production quantities.
Thickness Selection Guide
| Thickness | Recommended Applications |
|---|---|
| 15 mm | Home gyms, personal studios, general fitness areas and light free-weight zones |
| 20 mm | Commercial gyms, strength-training areas and multi-purpose fitness spaces |
| 25 mm | Medium-to-heavy free-weight areas, functional training zones and equipment areas |
| 30 mm | Heavy-duty training areas, weightlifting zones and spaces requiring greater impact absorption |
The appropriate thickness should be selected according to equipment weight, expected impact, subfloor condition, training type, and installation method.
Product Structure
The flooring is produced with a composite rubber structure designed to balance surface durability, cushioning, and structural stability.
1. EPDM Surface Layer
The upper layer is made from EPDM rubber and is available in pure black or black with colored EPDM flecks.
The surface provides:
- Good slip resistance
- Abrasion resistance
- Stable footing during training
- Easy cleaning and maintenance
- A consistent commercial appearance
- Customizable fleck colors and ratios
Available fleck colors include white, gray, blue, green, yellow, red, orange, and customized color combinations.
2. Cushioning Layer
A thin cushioning layer can be added beneath the surface layer to improve bonding, elasticity, and impact distribution.
Depending on the product specification, this layer can be produced using fine or coarse black rubber granules.
3. High-Density Rubber Base
The main base layer is made from compressed SBR rubber granules.
Available base structures include:
- Fine black rubber granules
- Coarse black rubber granules
- Colored mixed SBR granules
- Flat-back structure
- Studded or molded bottom structure
- Interlocking-hole bottom design for compatible connectors
The base layer provides most of the flooring thickness and contributes to shock absorption, vibration reduction, support, and durability.
Surface Options
Pure Black Surface
A practical and economical option for commercial gyms, equipment areas, storage areas, and large flooring projects.
EPDM Fleck Surface
Colored EPDM flecks improve the visual appearance of the flooring and help create a more customized gym environment.
The fleck color, fleck ratio, particle size, and color combination can be adjusted according to the customer’s market or project requirements.
High-EPDM Surface
A higher EPDM content can be produced for projects requiring a more refined surface appearance, brighter colors, or specific design requirements.
Bottom Design Options
Different bottom structures are available for different installation methods and flooring requirements.
Flat Back
Suitable for:
- Full-room installation
- Adhesive installation
- Double-sided flooring tape
- Tightly fitted wall-to-wall layouts
The flat-back design provides full contact with the subfloor and is suitable for stable permanent installations.
Studded or Molded Bottom
Suitable for projects requiring:
- Additional cushioning
- Improved air circulation beneath the flooring
- Vibration reduction
- Modular installation structures
Connector-Compatible Bottom
Selected models can be produced with aligned holes for plastic connectors.
The connector structure helps keep adjacent tiles aligned and reduces movement during use. Connector compatibility depends on tile thickness, bottom design, and mold structure.
Flat-back tiles without connector holes cannot be joined with plastic buckles.
Performance Advantages
Impact and Vibration Reduction
The compressed rubber granule structure helps reduce vibration and impact generated by fitness equipment, dumbbells, weight plates, treadmills, and functional training activities.
Stable Support
The high-density base provides stable footing during squats, lunges, bench presses, strength training, and equipment use without excessive softness.
Slip-Resistant Surface
The rubber surface provides reliable traction for shoes and fitness equipment under normal indoor gym conditions.
Abrasion Resistance
The EPDM surface layer is designed to withstand repeated foot traffic, equipment movement, and regular commercial use.
Floor Protection
The flooring creates a protective layer between exercise equipment and the original subfloor, helping reduce scratches, dents, impact marks, and vibration transmission.
Cut-to-Fit Installation
Tiles can be cut on site to fit walls, corners, columns, equipment foundations, and irregular floor areas.
Easy Maintenance
The surface can be maintained through regular sweeping, vacuuming, and damp cleaning using suitable neutral cleaning products.

Quality and Material Control
We control the production process from rubber granule selection and material mixing to pressing, surface bonding, cutting, inspection, and final product testing.
Quality-control items can include:
- Size and thickness inspection
- Weight and density inspection
- Surface appearance inspection
- Edge and corner inspection
- Bonding-strength inspection
- Flexibility testing
- Compression and recovery testing
- Odor evaluation
- Color consistency inspection
- Connector-hole alignment inspection
- Packaging inspection
Testing for substances such as PAHs, SVHC, and formaldehyde can be arranged or supported according to the product specification, customer requirements, and applicable testing standards.
Relevant reports should be confirmed according to the exact product model and production batch.
Rubber Odor Control
Recycled rubber flooring naturally has a rubber odor, especially when newly produced.
We control raw-material selection, rubber granule cleanliness, binder ratios, production temperature, and ventilation time to reduce excessive odor and improve product consistency.
Odor level may vary according to the rubber source, product density, thickness, binder formulation, storage conditions, and ventilation environment.
For projects with specific odor requirements, customers are encouraged to evaluate physical samples before confirming bulk production.
Resistance Properties
Depending on the formulation and production specification, rubber flooring can provide resistance to:
- Water
- Low temperatures
- Heat
- Ozone
- UV exposure
- General indoor wear
Exact performance requirements should be confirmed according to the intended environment and relevant test standard.
